We get more questions about how to use our exact dose concentrated syringes than anything. In the post we’re going to answer the most common questions we get to get you on your way to making the most of them.
Question #1 – Why would I want to use concentrated syringes?
Concentrated syringes give you the ability to control your dosing. It can also be more cost-effective to purchase it this way if you have to take higher doses. You also have the ability to create what you want. You can customize your carrier oil or add the flavoring you like.

Question #2 – Can I just take my CBD straight out of the syringe?
Absolutely you can. However, by making a tincture out of it using a carrier oil you actually make the CBD more efficient. Carrier oils increase the bioavailability of CBD in the body. This means it helps your body absorb it more. There are many different carrier oils you can use. At Freedom CBD we use MCT oil in our tinctures. You could also use avocado oil, hemp seed oil or olive oil.
Question #3 – My syringes showed up and they’re all crystallized and I can’t get the liquid out.
Don’t worry! This is actually a sign of a high-quality oil. Because our oil is a higher potency and is really pure it will crystalize quickly. Luckily this is an easy fix. Make sure the tip of the syringe is still on and tight. Warm-up some water (usually in a mug for about 1 minute) and soak the syringe. It can take 5, even 10 minutes of soaking to get it where it needs to be. A great way to check is if you start to see bubbles, you know it’s back to its liquid form. Don’t worry about the heat damaging the quality of the oil.
If you don’t use all the oil in the syringe, make sure you put the cap back on. Odds are when you come back to use it again it’ll be crystallized again. Just repeat the same process and you’ll be good to go.
Question #4 – How do I know how much to put in each bottle?
Creating your own tinctures can be tricky. As long as you know the amount of CBD you want in each dropper you can do the math to figure out how much CBD-to-carrier oil you’ll need.
Question #5 – How long will my syringe last?
We recommend using the oil that’s in your syringes within a year of the born on date on the packaging. For a tincture, we recommend 6 months from the born on date. Once it is mixed with a carrier oil the potency of the oil may go down after that 6 month period.
When it comes to your syringes, we recommend making what you need for a month or two at a time to preserve the quality of the distillate.
