Infusing CBD concentrate in carrier oil

Using CBD

CBD products come in a variety of ways and it can be confusing to understand dosing and use.  Make sure you check out our guide to buying CBD for any questions there.

This article will provide assistance for how to take concentrated CBD oil, like what you get in our exact dose syringes, and turn it into tinctures!

Basic Steps

  1. Determine carrier oil type and desired concentration.
  2. What is the % of CBD inside the concentrate?
  3. Measure and heat the carrier oil to 150 °F.
  4. Add concentrated oil and stir occasionally for 5 to 10 min or until you see no separation of oils (use a glass measuring cup so you can see)
  5. Fill dropper bottles.

Supplies you’ll need

  • 1 liter glass measuring container (beaker)
  • Carrier oil – we prefer MCT Fractionated Coconut oil.
  • 1 oz tincture bottles (note: a 1oz tincture bottle can hold 29.5ml of fluid).  Depending on the amount you want to make you’ll need more bottles.

Using our 1 ml syringes to make tinctures

1 ml = (% of CBD * 10) mg CBD oil

  1. Subtract 1 ml from 29.5 ml which equals 28.5 ml
  2. Heat up 28.5 ml of carrier oil to 150º F
  3. Add 1 ml of concentrated oil and stir until oils mix together completely and become homogenized.
  4. Pour into 1 oz tincture bottle.

Each full dropper contains mg from above/30 of CBD oil.

2 ml = ((% of CBD * 10)*2) mg CBD oil

  1. Subtract 2 ml from 29.5 ml which equals 27.5 ml
  2. Heat up 27.5 ml of carrier oil to 150º F
  3. Add 2 ml of concentrated oil and stir until oils mix together completely and become homogenized.
  4. Pour into 1 oz tincture bottle.

Each full dropper contains mg from above/30 of CBD oil.

3 ml = ((% of CBD * 10)*3) mg CBD oil

  1. Subtract 3 ml from 29.5 ml which equals 26.5 ml
  2. Heat up 26.5 ml of carrier oil to 150º F
  3. Add 3 ml of concentrated oil and stir until oils mix together completely and become homogenized.
  4. Pour into 1 oz tincture bottle.

Each full dropper contains mg from above/30 CBD oil.

Using our 5 ml and 10 ml syringes to make multiple 1 oz tinctures

5 ml = 4,600 mg CBD oil

This is for making 5 tincture bottles.

  1. Subtract 5 ml from 147.5 ml which equals 142.5 ml
  2. Heat up 142.5 ml of carrier oil to 150º F
  3. Add 5 ml of 78% concentrated oil and stir until oils mix together completely and become homogenized.
  4. Distribute equally into 5 – 1 oz tincture bottles

In each bottle, each full dropper contains 30 mg of CBD oil.

10 ml = 9,200 mg CBD oil

This is for making 5 tincture bottles at a higher concentration or 10 tincture bottles.

  1. Subtract 10 ml from 147.5 ml which equals 137.5 ml
  2. Heat up 137.5 ml of carrier oil to 150º F
  3. Add 10 ml of 78% concentrated oil and stir until oils mix together completely and become homogenized.
  4. Distribute equally into 5 – 1 oz tincture bottles or 10 1-oz tincture bottle depending on the amount of CBD you want.

With 5 – 1 oz bottles, each full dropper will contain 60 mg of CBD oil.

With 10 – 1 oz bottles, each full dropper will contain 30 mg of CBD oil
